Antique Japanese Boro Patchwork Distressed Fiber Wall Art

Superb antique Japanese Boro distressed and patched futon cover repaired and assembled in my Brooklyn studio from multiple fragments and stretched onto Museo ALU-frame museum quality stretcher bars. Beautiful variety of patches dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s with contrasting colors and patterns and a very satisfying amount of distress. Strong, soft, medium weight hand-loomed cotton and hemp fabrics that are multi-layered in most places.

Measures 42" wide x 48" high x 2" deep.
