Antique Japanese Indigo Katazome Floral Plaid Patched Long Pillow

Long lumbar pillow made from beautifully faded antique Japanese indigo katazome (resist dyed) fabric with gorgeous chrysanthemum pattern. In Japanese culture, chrysanthemums represent longevity and rejuvenation. One side has a hand-sewn plaid zanshi (cloth woven from leftover threads) patch.

Pillow with insert measures 11" high x 34" wide.

Cover alone measures 11" x 33".

Comes with a 14" x 36" insert with a 100% cotton cover and 100% polyester fill.

Antique exterior chrysanthemum fabric is backed with new, heavy-weight cotton canvas for reinforcement.

Inside pillow edges are sewn with over-locking stitches for further durability.

Invisible zipper hidden in seam for easy removal as needed.

5 small hand-repaired, sashiko stitched areas.
